I live in a small town, and a lot of the neighborhoods are just now getting high speed internet, as in DSL to be specific. I have discovered that the neighboring town, which is twice the size of ours, has recently installed all new internet wiring. I guess they got the latest and best equipment. TDS then took all the old wiring and brought it to my home town, and used that to hook people up to the "new DSL"... So we got all of the old shit.

You know right now I can't put my finger on the information source, because I forgot where I saw this. But last year many counties across several states received money to do such upgrades. Now here is the funny part, I bet taxpayers are getting charged 2 times for this used equipment!

You guys are aware of the the FCC statement claiming that broadband will be more accessible to more areas by 2030?
What happenend in your small town Lady Doomsday, is a step in the right direction, albiet not acceptable as a consumer; but then when has the government every really handed out the "best" solution?
